Wayne Gretzky's wife Janet has now been implicated in the mob-connected sports gambling ring allegedly financed by Phoenix Coyotes assistant coach Rick Tocchet.
Which raises this troubling question: if Janet Gretzky isn't a regular gambler, was she placing bets on behalf of her husband?
Let's hope it isn't so, even though none of the people involved were betting on hockey. Surely Gretzky has better judgment than to even create the appearance of involvement in illegal gambling.
We don't want to be disappointed twice this week by men we admire.
