Hiker Detector

That's an anagram for Ride the Rocket, the ubiquitous slogan for the TTC subway service.

Robot Johnny's map of the Toronto subway lines with station names in anagrams provides a bit of amusement for those of us who commute on the cattle cars to work every day.

At every stop now, they're telling people to let people off before boarding and not to charge the doors as they're closing. It's getting that bad on the subways.

Gino's Snot, Butt Rash, and Moroccan Wad sound like some of the nastier messes you see on the subway on Friday night. No wonder public health experts think our subways are a toxic stew.

All part of the price we pay to live in the Centre of the Universe.

It's been like that for as long as I can remember on the main OCT transit stations here in Ottawa

Ok ...I'm going way out the Un-Politically Correct limb here....
Could this trend be, just possibly for the sake of argument.....because the GTA poulation is more that 50% immigrant?
And that our new Canadians tend to bring with them the cultural standards of their homelends?

Yeah I said that! Let the PC whining and name calling begin ....

I agree with the immigrant population remark. The other day i say a 20somthing girl wearing a hijab sitting in the old people seat at the front of the bus. An old lady got on. A real old lady, white hair, cane an everything. The old lady stood crutching the poll right next to the muslims chick. I said "hey, let the ole lady sit down" and did a little finger wag between the ole lady and muslim chick. Just so it would be clear what i meant in case of no-speaky-english. Muslim chick just turned her head and looked out the window. Ignoring me and the ole lady. And i want to make clear this wasn't a rebellious teenage muslim. She was getting well-near 30. Gotta love that "diversity" of rudeness, eh?
